An abandoned temple in a small village in Tatarstan. The village of Yambukhtino. Built in 1735 at the expense of a local landowner. The church is two-story, illuminated in honor of John the Evangelist. The exact year the temple closed is not available online. The building is surprisingly in decent shape; some of the frescoes have been preserved. There are currently no plans to restore the church

The church looks very old but very beautiful. Old paintings can also be seen on the walls inside the church.
These pictures are one of the reasons why I like to look for places like this
In the fifth photo, what are the stone parallelepipeds?
Most likely, for some time, while the temple building was not used for its intended purpose, there was some kind of production here. And these are the remains of the foundation from the equipment

Captivating and depicting the efforts made by those that were there back then. And it's much more intriguing how the Church building still stands well structured till date.
