An abandoned jetty on the banks of the Volga in Tatarstan. Long ago, when many stone mining enterprises operated on the shore, the pier connected the working settlement of miners and a large regional center. But businesses closed and shipping came to an almost nonexistent level. And the Volga has become shallow in those places; large ships no longer come here. Only on the opposite shore from the abandoned pier, in the summer, small fishing boats moor
