Crypt-chapel on the banks of the Volga

In the Samarskaya Luka National Park, on the banks of the Volga, not far from the village of Ermakovo, there is a small and slightly gloomy landmark - a crypt-chapel with the ashes of Staff Captain Alexei Nikolaevich Lyupov. He was a Russian officer, artilleryman, participant in the Russo-Japanese War, inventor, photographer. After his retirement in 1911, he bought a plot of land and decided to build an estate on it. And while construction was underway, he lived in a small wooden house. That same year, two local peasants decided to rob the officer. They climbed into his house at night, killed him and stole his money. The murderers were quickly caught, tried and sent to Siberia. And on the site where the staff captain was killed, they built a crypt-chapel, where his ashes are buried. Now quite a lot of tourists come here, attracted by the unusualness of the place.
