Samara region, village of Sernovodsk. On the territory of the village there is a sanatorium built here more than a century ago. The site for construction was chosen because of the lake, whose water is rich in hydrogen sulfide and other chemical elements. The water in it does not freeze even in severe frosts. But the smell is appropriate. Water enters the lake itself from springs; the total volume of inflow is about 6 million liters per day. The mud from this lake is especially valued; on the territory of the sanatorium there are so-called mud baths.
The water in the lake has a green color, the saturation of which depends on the lighting.

A beautiful lake. Green :)
And this is what the lake looks like in summer, just as beautiful, if not more beautiful.🙂
What an interesting lake!
And very smelly.😁

Heaven views
It's just as beautiful here in the summer.🙂
Nice place!
Oh yes, I completely agree
This is breathtakingly beautiful! No more words!
This place is unique, but surprisingly is not in great demand among tourists and photographers...
Sometimes is better to remain like that. You would be surprised of how much people can harm nature and beautiful spots of nature :/
I agree that people can spoil natural beauty. We have places close to the regional center, the places are very beautiful. But due to the fact that they are easily accessible, everything there is littered with garbage... Which will be left behind by vacationers
Yep, that's exactly what I was thinking about.. it's a global problem sadly...
Beautiful place
I agree, it's beautiful here.🙂
A sanatorium for the insane??? I would have expected it to be a resort, or perhaps a place for the rich to build.

No, this is not for the mentally ill. Here they treat diseases of the musculoskeletal system, undergo rehabilitation after injuries, and in the same spirit. And it’s not a very suitable place for housing construction - the lake emits too unpleasant aromas
Oh, then it's like a hot springs :)
It seems so. But hot springs don't smell unpleasant.😄
True, but some have healing properties

Thank you for your feedback.🙂
My pleasure, you did a good job.
That’s the amazing lake that I never seen before my country is in Tropic so that’s amazing for me to see the nice view like that
I'm sure you can find equally beautiful views in the tropics. Which seem ordinary to you, but for me will be simply fascinating
