These houses hold great historical significance. They embody the poignant story of the partition of the Indian subcontinent in 1947. Approximately 1.5 to 2 million people were killed to the conflicts of religion and politics. Recently, I visited the old houses in my city Bhakkar Punjab, which were built before the partition of British India. People were uprooted from their homeland, their homes, and the streets where they had spent the beautiful moments of their lives. They left everything behind in their houses and migrated to a new place.

Majority creation on the earth builds a habitat to live according to its nature.Majority tries to improve it based on their desire and reserves. Just as birds build their nests in a place that is safe from predators, the nest will not be destroyed in a storm. Animals that make a home first examine the place in every respect. In the same way, human is the best creation of God, he is endowed with the ability to think and understand. Among all creatures,he makes the best habitat for his comfort.

I visited these buildings to know what kind of design the people before us would build houses. It was the oldest of all these buildings. This house was built in 1900, at that time these niches was usually made on the main door of houses. There was no electricity here at that time, so in order to erase the darkness in the street, light was kept by keeping an oil lamp ๐Ÿช” in it.

You can see the amazing skill of the expert on it. Its bricks are carved by hand without any machinery. There is no slightest difference in the perfection of this design.

Earlier, in place of this gate, there was a huge wooden door, which was very beautifully worked. This was the main gate of this house, there is also a place for sitting on both sides of the door.

Due to lack of maintenance, this building is almost destroyed. The temperature here is 45 to 50 degree Celsius in summer. Its walls were kept wide to reduce the heat intensity, the wall on the street side is about 18 inches and mud bricks are also used. Clay was used to keep the temperature normal.

Could not visit inside some houses due to locks. But I took pictures of their doors. This door also shows historical expertise. This door is also carved by hands.

I could not get even access to go inside this house. I really liked the expert workmanship on this door. There are lamp๐Ÿช” niches on both sides of the door.

I really like the design above this door. I don't know what the symbols on it represent. Zoom in and you will appreciate the skill of the craftsman.

This is the last house, no one lives here. Its residents have migrated from here. All their memories are saved in these houses, I can show you from inside this house. A portion is made just above the door in which the beautiful object will be displayed.

This is the interior view of this house. The porch has three doors for light and ventilation.

Thank you so much ๐Ÿฅ€๐Ÿ’–
