I go wherever my feet take me, I take photographs, and I tell little stories...

It seems to me that we are all, without exception, in this community, wherever we are from, and whatever photographic equipment we have, because of the same motivation: the unquestionable fascination with the art of capturing moments. For me, in short, this is photography from a much more conceptual than theoretical point of view. We simply know within ourselves when the moment is right and try to capture the fidelity that our senses witness.

For this reason, I never leave home without my most important tool; in my case, it is my mobile phone. But not because I'm addicted to social media or staring at a screen for most hours of the day, no.... But because that's where the modest camera is that allows me to do what I love and what I do as an amateur: photography. Sometimes, even spontaneously, my mind, from the most absolute nothingness, creates micro stories with narrative and sense...

I walk a lot. Both as a habit that I incorporate into my life through daily exercise, as well as a method of distraction of thoughts and serenity. It is there, then, when I simply let myself be led by what my intuition builds. Sometimes, the route is motivated by the amount of natural light I perceive during the moment of going out. The time is important to know which things I can achieve and which I cannot. Also, being limited to a wide-angle lens (from a mobile phone) most of my creations are open shots, general shots.

Inside my head, a solitary girl on a park bench, with noticeable gestures of anguish and weariness, represents an idea that I then shape in my head and accompany, as far as possible, without disturbing it, with other photographs that follow that narrative path... Just like pursuing the beauty of the seasons. Living in a country so close to the tropics, as Venezuela is, the two prominent seasons are summer proper and autumn, which is very rainy5 and humid. And in both periods I capture the essence of the weather; its unique characteristics.

Of course, photography is perspective... If you master the technical aspects behind the execution of an instrument, what comes after is just your pure and hard essence... That is to say, the contribution you are trying to manifest at the moment of capturing a unique moment in time and space. I try to concentrate on that which amazes me; and it can be broad... From the sunset (or sunrise) to the oblivion of a street and the incidence of the elements on its surface... The routes I take almost never have an intention. I find more realism and fun in the surprising and forceful.

And so, it all comes together in a short, personal story to tell... Hive, or this wonderful community, in which I make my debut, are just the excuse to widen the range of what I usually do... I would like to confess that I had not dared to upload content to this niche, because I have seen the high quality material here; and it overwhelms me a little... I do not intend to compete with anyone, nor am I interested in doing so, I only highlight this part because it gives personal satisfaction to overcome one's own fears and expectations. My own summary is the following: I don't stop walking, I have my mobile phone camera at the ready, and I try to tell you a micro story with what you see...

Sort:

My pick of the bunch is the city night with lights decorating the buildings and illuminating the environment. Light seems to create some form of art and that right there is a great example

San Diego always San Diego, so many years I lived in that area and I never took pictures of it with the exception of La Cumaca.
