In my time in Utah I have grown to love the desert but in this journey I found myself in the mountains. I arrived in Provo on a dark, cloudy day ready to grab some grub and lucky for me they had a Raising Cane's to fill me up for my photographic journey for the day. Photographing a new place is incredibly rewarding for me. The new sights, smells and adventures waiting around the corner. I finished my delicious food and headed for the mountains!
On a cloudy day, it is the perfect time to shoot waterfalls midday! I headed out to this waterfall and shot with a telephoto lens (70-200). Using a telephoto helped me to simplify this scene and show off the layers of color and the layers of the waterfall. Simplifying complex scenes is one of the ways you can be successful when out shooting landscape photos. To top off this fun day, I was able to shoot with a friend, Jon Valdoz, and that made me even more grateful for the day!
Very nice Caleb! I've only been to this waterfall in the winter and it wasn't very photogenic. Seems like fall is the perfect time for it
Seems so! I absolutely loved when I visited!
