"Inspiration, come hither!" Some days, ideas just come to me, others I have to go out looking for ideas. Today is of the latter variety, figuring out what to write about today hasn't went too well, so I'm writing about that. When all else fails I randomly select a folder of photos and edit them until they suggest something to me. Sometimes it even works!
So what do you do when the ideas won't come to you?
Waiting. . . we sure do a lot of it, don't we? Whether it's payday, the weekend, vacation, or simply a bit of inspiration, seems like we're always waiting on something or other. I'm not what you would call a patient person, so all that waiting is doubly galling. You would think we'd have figured out by now how to do more and wait less...
I've been trying to come up with ways to turn all the time I spend waiting into something a bit more productive. It don't take much to be more productive than doomscrolling but I've yet to come across much that I am fond of.
I got into one of my folders from Rocky Mountain National Park today, all of these photos are of Emerald Lake there. It's a glacial lake that's just above 10,000 feet and the endpoint of a trail from Bear Lake. I'm more than a little annoyed though, I got there only to discover that I didn't have a wide angle lens to get the whole lake in a single shot. Still, it was one of my favorite places in RMNP and one of the more picturesque hikes that I've ever been on.
I'm going to have to conduct some experiments to see if there is a correlation between coffee consumption and inspiration. In the meantime, y'all be good or be good at it!
Great photos... Clean and heartwarming. I just focused on the photos, sorry.
i take one of my cameras, mostly some film-oriented stuff, and going fishing. for any kind of subject, I decide about it by my mood on this specific day or maybe a few days of the down.
beautiful reflections you got here. interesting to see these places during the early morning or early evening hours when the light is creating some drama with the contrasts
