I spent about 14 days in a shelter, and sometime couch surfing with friends but during that time I couldn't really see the wee man. Stay at home Fathers (here anyway) don't have the same rights as Mothers. Because of this and our decision that my ex would be the main worker and me the carer, this left me financially vulnerable when we separated. And this all happened during the market correction haha... Luckily for me I live in a country with a great welfare system and this has gotten me back on my feet.
Interestingly I was homeless in Australia for a few months in 2011, sort of by choice but not really, it was grim at times but also led to interesting tales and friends I'll have for life.
