Well, I had luck to visit it two times. During second visit, I already know what and where :) And summer daylight gave me a lot of extra time :)

Have you noticed they have put a "P" (parking) signs on Road 1, next to every major site that's worth visiting it? Of course, there are much more places and some hidden gems but I enjoyed this a lot, it wasn't hard to follow :) No white nights there? I haven't checked yet.
Yes there are some quite big parking spaces at major sites. I heard it get very crowded during peak season. You can wait hour(s) just to get space. That was positive in my case during Covid that there was nobody so no waiting time.
Yes Iceland actually have white nights during summer months. If you can not sleep you can visit some beautifull waterfall at 3 am :)
Interesting. We were there in 2016, plenty of tourists but apart from the Blue Lagoon, we were able to stop/park/go everywhere we wanted to. Our trip was late August/early September and no white nights, probably they happen earlier, I'll have to check and plan better in advance, if there is next time, hope there is :) We enjoyed most of the sunsets though :)))
