In the woods

And it's oh so quiet. This is what I'm saying to myself every time when I go alone in my long walks. Very early in the morning is the perfect moment to be in the forest because you can hear every sound of nature. It is pure perfection.

I practice my keen sense of observation. I look at every branch, every leaf. I notice patterns and changes. There is nothing quite like this. I feel rejuvenated after I look at everything because I realize the miracle of creation.

A simple flower is a work of art if you take a closer look. Intricate geometry, superb colours and symetry. Every tree has so many distinct shades of green that an entire palette wouldn't grasp their color richness.

I don't always take pictures as I prefer to be there, in the moment, enjoying it. But in my last walk I felt so happy to see the signs of spring that I felt the urge to capture it on camera.

I look at nature and I see art everywhere. I think that we need to take more time for ourselves and be in a forest. To detach ourselves, to be calm and to realize how big the world is beyond our worries and plans.

I can't put in words the way you feel after many hours spent in the woods, without phones, people, noises. I can't put it in words because you have to feel it, see it, embrace it. You have to be there, in the present moment. And when you close your eyes, fill your lungs and sense the sun.... it's oh so quiet...

Very nice and mind blowing photos ❤️...A perfect and a fine pictures clicked by you @creativemary

Thank you very much!

Great photos. The first line of text made me think of the Bjork song :-)

Thanks! It was precisely that song I thought about when writing this post, you're the first one noticing the subtle indication to that. Have a great day!

Hi Mary... mi vista siente placer de ver estas fotografías, cuando pueda traducir leeré el contenido.

Very crisp photos I absolutely love it. My favorite is the one with thorns. Can easily be missed with the naked eye but behind the lens makes all the difference.

Thanks a lot! That is one of my favourite too😍 I like noticing these little details in nature

Nice focus and depth of field

Thanks so much, I am really pleased with my Fuji, it has great colors

Agree, I have a x100T small enough for street photography, with perfect colors straight out of the camera.

I have the XE3 and yes, the colors are good in camera, I like that aspect a lot

Really beautiful photos.
I love how life finds its way through cracks, crevices and joints.
I love textures, and barks, an thorns... One tree leaning on the other, a vine embracing them.

I feel the same about taking photos or not. Sometimes it is better to watch and save the memories in your head.

Thank you very much! I think that the more you are in the moment, the more details you notice. It requires a certain state of mind to just observe nature and be in awe.
Mental pictures are the best as they require no effort to take and remain therr forever😍

They truly are beautiful. Yes you have to be with all of your senses tuned.

I never took my best shots. And I will never forget them.

Awesome, the same it is for me, forever in the memory
