Hello Friends of photography!
Today I woud like to show you some of my photos I took during our latest trip to Tanzania, Africa, in November 2021. Additional information about our trip, such as visited national parks, etc. can be found at the end.
And for those of you who are more interested in moving pictures, I linked some youtube videos at the end of this post.

So let's get started with this Leopard with his prey, sitting in a tree:
Leopards are very shy animals. The only reason this Leopard was not climbing down the tree and hiding in the tall gras was, that there was a Lioness nearby. The leopard has classified the lioness as a greater danger and ignored us.
This was the Lioness which were hunting nearby:
Also, here we were realy lucky. We waited nearly 1.5 hours observing the lioness and how she hid in the high grass. A herd of wildebeests didn't noticed her and got realy close. Then a heavy rainfall started and the lioness made her moove, so we were unable to catch "the kill" on camera (visibility was only 2.5 - 3 meters). But we managed to find her after around 3-4 minutes when the rain stopped, so that we were able to observe her feasting on her prey.
We also managed to see a lot of different packs with lion cubs:
And of course also the king of animals - the male lion:
Coming back to the herbivores, below some pictures of wildebeasts, zebras and others:
At tarangire nationalpark we did a guided walking safari with an armed ranger. This way we saw a lot of animals from close distance without the protection of the car. This was one of the greatest experiences we had:
Coming once back to predators, we also witnessed three cheetas preying on a wildebeest:
And wherever is prey, there are hyenas:
At the end of our trip, we visited Ngorongoro Crater. The crater once was a vulcano which collapsed in on itself. This made life in the crater possible. The crater walls stand until today and are partly over 600 meters high. This is how it looks alike from the top:
The crater floor is home to many animals, some of which cannot get out of the crater on their own.

In total we visited the following national parks:
- Arusha National Park
- Tarangire National Park
- Lake Manyara, Serengeti National Park
- Ngorongoro Crater
The photos have been taken with a Nikon Z6.
It took us 13 days and many hours of driving (with a private tour guide), but the memories we captured were worth any effort or money we spent.

Wow! That´s a massive load of stunning photos from Africa! You got to see so much amazing wildlife over there. Impressive post. I wish I had more TipU votes to give out today as this post definitely deserves some. I will try to stop by with some tomorrow ;)

Yes, we were amazingly lucky with the animal encounters we had. And travelling in Covid-times was also a bonus as there were only a few other tourists and cars around.
Was our 2nd time in Africa, and we want to go back again. 😀
