They were once the luxurious homes of happy and wealthy families. Built in the centre of the city, they still show noble details such as high ceilings and large windows. There are also windows that open onto an inner courtyard like the houses of ancient Rome.
Los años por estas fachadas quedan marcados por la introducción del tendido eléctrico que llegaron a afear estas viviendas.

No se puede evitar pensar en los motivos del abandono de estas lujosas viviendas. Una gran crisis económica o alguna tragedia familiar. Detrás de estas ruinas seguro hay una triste historia.

A pesar del deterioro sigue quedando una belleza extraña en los restos de estas casas. Ya sean los materiales nobles con los que fueron construidas o las pequeñas plantas que crecen ahora en ellas.
Despite the deterioration, there is still a strange beauty in the remains of these houses. Whether it is the noble materials they were built with or the small plants that now grow in them.
Posiblemente lo que me atrae es imaginar cómo eran cuando se terminaron de construir y la ilusión de sus propietarios cunado empezaron a vivir y crear vida ahí dentro.
Perhaps what attracts me is to imagine what they were like when they were finished and the illusion of their owners when they started to live and create life inside.
Ciertamente los altos costos de las reparaciones influyen que los dueños de las propiedades no puedan mantener las propiedades, terminando estas en un estado ruinoso.
Es muy común en muchas partes de Europa ver el cableado por fuera, cómo lo muestran las dos primeras imágenes. Eso siempre me llamó la atención.
