An Underwater Paradise...

A couple of days ago I took my parents to the coast for a day out, they are getting a bit older now days and do suffer a bit with mobility, so they don't get out and about much now days, my mum said this was the first time they'd been to the coast since September last year, which I took them to Cornwall for a weeks holiday.

Anyhow, we ended up in Skegness, I did off to take them to Whitby, but with Skeggy being a flat, it was much better for them getting around (although my Dad does have to use a mobility scooter now days).

After having a little walk around, I saw the Skegness Aquarium and thought that all the times over the years I've visited Skegness, I'd never been in the aquarium so I decided to go in and have a look.

The aquarium is small but it is a lovely place to visit, especially to get out of the hot midday sun. After walking around the aquarium, you come to this fairly big room with benches in it, and you can sit and watch all the fish swim passed, relaxing music plays while you get mesmorised by all the different species of fish swimming past, including sharks. I could have stopped in there for hours, but they let people scuba dive in the tank, so when it started filling up with people, I decided to continue my journey around the aquarium.

I really do love going in aquariums, although small, I did really like this one, I though the price at over £13 was slightly expensive, although it was clean and all the fish looked to be in great health.
I'd love to wonder around an aquarium on my own with no one around, where I could just lay down and watch the fish for hours on end, I can only imagine how relaxed I would feel if I had this opportunity.

Overall if you are in the area, it's certainly worth a visit, I did it to get out the sun, but it would be a great place on a rainy day too.

I hope you've enjoyed this blog and thanks for reading.

All the best :-)
