As I type this blog, I am sat on my balcony overlooking the swimming pool of the hotel, I have finally come back to Mallorca, I dont know why its taken me so lomg to return, it was only 32 years ago since I was last here, and I’ve fallen in love with the island all over again.
My current view.
I was only 17 the last time that I visited the island, and was about 3 months before I turned 18, I am here celebrating my 50th birthday, I have loved every second of being here, so far. I am only here for the week, sadly I only hace two full days before I fly home on Saturday.
We had a pleasant flight to Majorca, we had a tail wind and the pilot said that we had a ground speed of around 600mph, we got here in 1 hour and 50 minutes, which was rather quick, as we approached Mallorca, we had a bit of turbulence over the pyranese mountains, and as we got over the north east side of the island, there was an absolute massive storm cloud, thankfully we didnt have to go through it.
The weather had turned a bit by the time we got to our resort, so we had a thunderstorm with hail, we had the same 32 years ago too lol. we are here just before the main season, and at times the streets are empty and it has been lovely and peaceful.
Since the first day, the weatherhas been glorious, a bit too hot for me at times, I am so glad its not the middle of the summer season.
We went on a boat trip yeaterday, the boat went into some sea caves, I just love the colours of the sea.
I have lots more to say and post, but Ive had a few cocktails tonight and now feelings bit tired, so I will leave it here for now, nothing more to say thsn I am in love with Majorca, just like the first time I visited.
