Aftermath

DSC07474.jpeg

Some years before, it appears that a fire ripped through this area, judging by the stripped and burned trees. I’m guessing it was within the last ten years or so. This is some of the scenery from the hiking trail to Hourglass lake, East Kootenay, British Columbia. Although it is tragic to see this kind of devastation, it really is all a part of the ecosystem and its cycles. It is common to have lightning strikes out in forested areas like this. There is a certain unique beauty to all this, a beauty to the fire’s aftermath. Thanks for stopping by.

Nature is always beautiful. Even its ruins are prettier than the human's best craft.

Well said, I can generally agree with that statement!

It's always sad to see the dead trees from the burn. What I find amazing is that the very next year all of the plants start to regrow under the dead trees and often surviving pine nuts will start to grow tiny trees. Fires are just part of the life cycle in the mountains, and the resulting dead trees do have a majesty and beauty of their own.

I like the waterfall and the snow capped peaks in the background, really pretty!

Nature always finds a way to turn the page, and rejuvenate. It's the cycle of life, and there is beauty in every step of the journey. Thanks for visiting.

An absolutely brilliant photographic use of the environment!!!... Applause! 📷💯

Thank you sir!

The burned trees actually look like ghosts man. Seasons can do some damage but nature always regrows into something beautiful. Very very good photos, you're an absolute pro at this

New seasons bring regrowth, in time the trees will grow back in full force. Appreciate the kind words.

you're welcome man, again very good photos

It's saddening to see the devastation of fire truly, and we know that forests like these are prone to fire. However, as you've said, it's beautiful.. it's even going to be prettier with the snow

It would be cool to see how this place looks in mid winter, but that being said, would be impossible to access. Thanks for stopping by.

Why would it be difficult to access I'm mid winter?

It would be covered in snow...too hard to trudge through.

The aspect of the forest burned is intriguing, but knowing that it was generated from burn and probably animals died there it's sad

Ebbs and flows of "The lifecycle".

The beautiful through the inhospitable...
Magnificent!

Indeed, thanks for visiting.

My pleasure!
