After arriving in Radium, first measure of business was to just walk around the townsite and get the lay of the land. So I’ve got some random first photos to show you. A little of this and a little of that. Radium is a small town with a population of about 1,500 or so, located on the eastern edge of British Columbia, and inside Kootenay National Park. For such a small town, there sure is a lot of motels and hotels, due almost entirely to the famous hot springs nearby. The attraction for myself though, are the hiking opportunities in the area. Thanks for stopping by.

Looks like a great place to just go and relax. Get in some great hiking and after soak in the hot springs! Small towns like those can be interesting places with a lot of interesting people living there, usually many eccentric ones!
Beautiful pictures, and you even got the nice floral shot in there! How were the trails there?
Trails were decent, especially Nipika area. We also did some shorts ones which were ok. Will be heading back next year for round two, looking forward to that. Was also contemplating going to Glacier national as well, only thing is we get killed on the exchange rate.
Finally at the radium.
The path and the walkway is incredible. It looks like a huge amusement park with some very beautiful scenes. Amazing. Sunny days, and even more lovely shot
