This is part of the Athabasca Glacier, which is one of the largest ice sheets in Alberta, if not western Canada. Just to the south of this photo is where the “Columbia Icefields tours” take visitors via the super-sized Ice Explorer buses to the glacier, where you can walk on the ice and capture glacial water to drink!

One of the best trips you can do on the Icefields Parkway. Need to take my kids there this summer for sure. It's been years.
!CTP
It is a good family fun time experience for sure!
The view from the skies is amazing. It looks quite unreal, I see you no longer use the Huawei?
Usually what I do is post all the Huawei pics first (which takes several months), then I begin posting the Sony pics afterward.
That looks coo, like a chair of mountain snow.
Kinda doesn’t it.
Just need a giant cup holder.

Is that an avalanche?
Frozen solid glacial ice.
These are dope photographs, I love the dynamic range in the black and white.😍
I am a photographer also, I will definitely join your community ❤️❤️❤️
Nice! I finally returned here last year. First visit when I was 8years old, and now, decades later it looks phenomenally different. I hope when I have children it is still around to be enjoyed.
No doubt about that, depends on the state of “global warming” I guess.
It totally does, but to see the change in just my lifetime alone. Just phenomenal loss of ice. But, thats climate change. The cool thing I guess is getting more access to the area in the summers now
