Chapel Architecture

in Photography Lovers4 months ago (edited)

I really love the architecture of church’s in general. This one caught my eye, as we drove by it a few weeks ago. We had to stop for a quick “photo shoot”. Sure glad I did. The black and whites really bring out the contrast in these comparisons. Typically I prefer to photograph objects with a nice blue sky background, but on this day, the skies were cloudy. As it turned out, the cloudy skies improved the overall look and feel of the images in my opinion. What do you think?

This architecture is really beautiful...and with clouds it looks mesmerizing...you captured it very beautifully 👍

Thanks, it was an enjoyable photo shoot.

Good shots, I am also very interested in taking pictures of churches, all because of their sculptures and architecture, no doubt it is a game with the photographic framing.

Yes, they are just so photogenic. Thanks for dropping by.

Somehow the B-W photos look foreboding to me. Color is more bluegrass gospel optimism, while monochrome is more of a hellfire-and-brimstone judgement-is-coming pulpet-pounding anger. But it's the same picture. Weird.

Great interpretation! I think you nailed it. Thanks for your comments.

Normally I'm a blue sky kind of guy too, but this one came out really nice with the B&W. Those details just "pop" with the clouds. That quick stop was well worth it! That came out really nicely!

I think the black and white photos show the chapel's details well, especially with the clouds. Nice work brother

The clouds worked well for a backdrop. Thanks.

Welcome brother

The church architecture are some of the best in the world. The clouds above are simply too amazing.

They are beautiful aren’t they? Thanks @josediccus.

Nice shot, I like about the architecture in this church, it really looks amazing.
This is my favorite of the day:

Thanks @furkanmamplam. Glad you like it.

These b&w images have more "character", they look better.
It is interesting to see the van next to the chapel.

Indeed, I agree. Thanks @nenio. Doing anything exciting this summer?

Those B & W's look so good.

Agreed, I thought they looked better than the colours.

It's beautiful, I really like it.

Beautiful architecture and beautiful pictures 😍

Thanks for looking.

I think with or without clouds it looks good. That church is the St. Eugene Church on the old St. Eugene Mission. The statue is of the Blessed Virgin I imagine.
