Merry Yellow Christmas! Well first thing that came to mind when looking at this photo, was that it looks like a yellow Christmas tree lol. Don’t you think? Just imagine a star on top, a few ornaments here and there, a stocking or two, presents underneath, and a cat under the tree. But in reality, it is a spectacular looking Larch tree, found on the Ptarmigan Cirque hiking trail. Fall is the time of year when the needles turn this cool yellowish colour. I chose this hike specifically to soak in the wild fall colours out on full display. It was certainly worthwhile to take in this hike. Looking forward to a return someday to give it another go. One thing about hiking, is that you never tire of the joys of experiencing nature. This means one can even visit the same location multiple times. Happy thanksgiving to those down south!

I have two such trees in the yard next to my house. In autumn they look simply stunning!

They really are very pretty aren’t they.

That is pretty crazy. I have never seen that before.

One of the first times for myself as well. Colours are just phenomenal.

Laughter , yes it does look like a Christmas Tree. I see a few nice green ones in the background also.

Thank you, awesomest

The yellow tree with background mountain and greeneries around make it perfect for those who love hiking. Ofcourse it resembles to Merry Christmas Tree.

Yeah, I bit of eye candy to look at while out on the hike. Thanks @shamis.

Oh my, I've been waiting for you to post these, I just knew we'd get them eventually. Amazing shot's right here, nature is beyond beautiful. Such a sight to see and yes it would be an epic Christmas tree.

I was really looking forward to this point in the hike as well, it was such a blast. Thanks.

It really does look like a yellow Christmas tree. That's very cool!

Or a tree sprinkled with gold!

Very true! It's very beautiful. I hadn't actually seen pine needles that turned yellow before. Thanks for sharing that!

Natural things never disappoint us and always feel happy to see natural beauty.
I love this tree.
Have a nice day.

Merry Larch Christmas, thanks for looking @priyya.

That's a fine looking Larch ... perfectly pruned by Nature. Most of our needles are already down out East.

It's that time of year, next stop Winter.

The natural atmosphere in the mountains seems quite pleasant. I like the photography results that you have shown.

Thanks for looking @mnurhiver.

Thanks, thought it looked cool.

Really this tree is like Christmas tree But the difference is that this tree is shining in the day whereas mostly Christmas trees shine in the night. Awesome shoots, a great salut e for this.@daveks

Oh, yes. Good point! Thanks @sahilkhan5.

The black and white version of that tree looks like it is covered in snow.

An illusion you might say. Thanks for looking.

It is indeed Christmas in Ptarmigan Cirque and these vibrant yellow Larch trees create a unique landscape feature.

Christmas in Kananaskis country! Thanks for looking @edith-4angelseu.

Very nice shot with the mountains in the background :))

Thanks for looking @nowargraffitis.

Yellow color and mountain is beautiful😍

Thanks, it was a great trip.

It is very similar to our national tree of Venezuela, it is called Araguaney and we have it in bloom with very yellow leaves generally in the month of May. Success in your beautiful and majestic visits. Greetings brother @daveks

That’s interesting. Thanks for looking @omarrojas.
