Fire meets Forest

DSC07956.jpeg

Look what happened here back in 2017, a fire ripped through Waterton Park, leaving scenery like this in it’s rear view mirror. Beauty smashed together with desolation. An incredible look really, at least to me. Anything related to nature is amazing to observe really. Why do forest fires happen you might ask? A common cause is lightning strikes, especially in a dryer than normal season. Some say “climate change” is to blame for these conditions. Some disagree. What say you? Thanks for stopping by.

Exactly it's just easy for lightening strikes to cause forest fire, another thing is a pieces of glass reflecting light from the sun. The fire becomes really bad if the tress are dry.

The dryer the trees the more severe. Without a doubt!

Still a gorgeous view even after the fires. Fires always have started from lightning strikes and always will, nothing to do with the climate unless a new ice age sets in! The mountains look as majestic as ever though!

I'm with you on that. I wonder when the next ice age kicks in...

this looks cool👍 the tall trees are like models taking a photoshoot in the wild with the blue sky and some white clouds in the background. very beautiful.

"Thin" models yes. Thanks for the comment @reachdreams.

This has to be the prettiest wild fire aftermath I've seen😂😂😂

Lovely pictures man.

Colored is better to me, the contrasting colors make the picture more interesting..

That is understandable. Hey thanks for dropping by.

The first picture is great, a front tree burned like hey look at me, behind the green and far away the rock mountain, all elements in a pic

I don't think a thunder has much to do with climate change, in Canada storms have always been common I guess? It's not like it's Africa 😂

We had this years ago, wind destroyed a whole forest

Very common yes. Wind destroyed a forest, really? Must have been hurricane level winds then.

Yep, it was like a natural disaster not a normal "lot of wind"

This type of hiking are interesting because the view and cold air passes through feels something unreal.

Kind of surreal you might say.

It was very nice to see the beautiful scenery.

Thanks for looking.

Lovely scenes.

Thanks for looking.
