This is pretty much as high as you can get in Banff Park, without being a seasoned hiker. This area is called Sunshine Meadows. Accessible via gondola and open air chairlift (or you could hike up, which would take several hours..) I like the idea of catching a ride up, then beginning my hike at the “top”. What a wonderful feeling to be walking around up here. A truly amazing experience, jam packed with so many photo ops. I do have plenty of photos to share over the coming days, stay tuned. Did you get a chance to do any hiking last summer or fall?

Beautiful view! That ski lift was worth the quick arrival to the top of the mountain. Such nice scenery! When I was a kid we used to go up to a slide they had at the top of a ski resort and you rolled down on little carts. That was a lot of fun!

If you were using a drone, it's probably going to be easier to shoot as high as you would with you're doing on on a gondola. Beautiful vast landed area.
Same old problem though, drones aren't allowed in the "national parks". Would be awesome though..
