Red Rock Canyon

in Photography Lovers3 months ago (edited)

Before heading to Waterton Park this summer, I did some research on the best places to visit in the area, and Red Rock Canyon always came up in the search results. Naturally this then made my top 5 list of things to do. We hit Red Rock on day #2 of our vacation. It is located about 20 minutes or so away from the townsite area. A beautiful drive all by itself, with a few points of interest, and a couple of different hiking options available. After arriving, we headed directly to the warm water running through the canyon. Lots of people around enjoying the unique red and yellow rocks. Apparently the rock is called “Argillite”. Cool! Also and easy walk takes you around the canyon area, allowing you to get some different amazing views. A highly recommended stop if you ever find yourself in the area.

That is awesome, I love red rock formations. They are always cool to explore! Those are some great photos, especially the color ones because of the red.

If you ever get the chance to make it to northern Arizona don't miss the red rock slot canyons, they're really cool!

First of such coloured rock hearing and seeing for the very first time, thanks for the share. Interesting indeed. Is their any kind of advantage for these rocks ?? Looks very much peculiar
