Here we are at the top of Sunshine, Banff, a place called Sunshine Meadows. The basic hike up here is actually not very long, and it covers three relatively small lakes. The first stop along the circuit is Rock Isle Lake, the second biggest of the three. It took approximately 30 minutes or so to reach the lake, and the weather was being very cooperative, with some decent rays for a Fall day. Virtually a perfect Fall day for hiking. Couldn’t have asked for better weather. We lucked out!

The first, second and third picture looks unreal from the angle you've taken them. Did you have to take many to get this much of a consistent shot?
For this round of photos, most of them turned out well actually. But often times it is about 1:3, for every 3 photos, only 1 is a keeper. Have a good weekend!

What beautiful terrain for a nice little hike! Nicely kept trails and gorgeous pine trees. It must have smelled great along the way and the sound of the wind through the pines. I can almost imagine being there. That last picture looking down is great, I love it along with the path through the pines. Today I like the colors more, probably just my mood though. Great job!
One of my all-time favourite areas to hike! The trails are maintained well too. Looking forward to the next outing, probably be a winter easy hike of some kind. Thanks as always for stopping by.

The lake water would be run off from the nearby mountains. As far as I know they are suspended up here.
