Turtle Lake

IMG_20240814_124834_Original.jpeg

The tiniest lake of the three was actually called Turtle Lake, but all I saw was this one lone turtle. I walked up to this log ever so slowly, and was able to just get the one photo, before he dove into the water. I was hoping to get a few more pics, but no luck. Unlike Yankee Lake, where there was lots of turtle sightings. Well it’s time for lunch, we sat down by this huge tall tree. This was the last of the three lakes we visited, here inside Premier Provincial Park, East Kootenay, British Columbia.

some amazing pictures. Usually I am more interested in the appearance of a turtle, but this time I was more interested in the picture of the tree trunk, the characteristics of its skin are very unique.

I thought the combination of both looked pretty neat. Thanks @reachdreams.

What a pretty spot! Those reflections are amazing, a great place for photography. It looks so calm and serene with those huge pines and the mountains. Thanks for sharing, it looks like a great place for a repeat visit!

Those trees were so incredible actually. Surprisingly they gave off an almost "vanilla like" smell.

Beautiful shots, there was always a log that had fallen into the water and makes for some very good shots.

Logs are just so photogenic, add in a turtle and its magical. Thanks!

They truly are

The display of the pictures is quite interesting and I like seeing the turtles.Good afternoon for today and may prosperity always be with us all.

Thanks, turtles are just so cute right?

The pictures are magnificent and the landscape is beautiful, greetings.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit.

This is my favourite one - the reflection, the composition. Beautiful.

The views in these photos remind me of some movies. I was also hoping to see more Turtles in Turtle Lake, but this one had a nice pose, it seemed it was heading back into the water.

My favourite photo is the colourful tree trunk. 😍

Thanks for sharing another set of your beautiful photos.
