Yankee Lake Extras

I’ve got a few more photos from around Yankee lake to show, until we move on to the next lake. This hike today included 3 lakes in total. The next lake is Canuck, and then finally the smallest of the three is Turtle lake. So far, up until now, it has been a real pleasure experiencing the hiking around this area. I think so far, we have only seen about 3 other hikers on the trail, unlike the Banff area, where it is crawling with hikers and tourists everywhere. A very enjoyable change of pace, here in East Kootenay, British Columbia.

Looks like it was a little smoky in that last one, but in B&W it comes out really nicely. The reflection is great in the first picture, gorgeous. And the X marks the spot underwater was pretty cool!

Didn't even notice the X until you pointed it out. Maybe I did subliminaly!

So why does the Banff lake have more people than this place?

The big tour companies can fly into Calgary, then drive to Banff and Lake Louise easily. There is no large airport hub here in East Kootenay, British Columbia.

Photos that have reflections are always a good idea, the shadows and contrast they create are incredible, they reflect two realities in the same image. @daveks 🤗🤗

Thanks for looking.

It is very special to hike in such distinguished lakes, your photos continue to impress. In those places I would do yoga placidly, like the yoga asana I present today, very good for the posture. Greetings. I look forward to your visit.

Greetings from Canada!

May everything always be very well for you. All the best.

The woods have a special meaning to me and I have really enjoyed looking at your photographs.

What meaning is that?

The view of the picture is very beautiful and we can see that the water is quite clear in that place.Greetings for today and may the best always be for all of us.

Thanks for looking.

You're welcome my brother

Where are the turtles? :P

I love the view in these photos, my favourite lake is the coloured Turtle Lake. I love nature. 😍

I like colour and black/white photography.

That makes two us! Isn't nature awesome?

Great! Yeah, nature is awesome and it heals.

the peaceful appearance of the lake, I like the reflection of the white clouds under the turtle bridge.

A beautiful for reflection photography, thanks.
