They go on like this for several kilometers along the river. All told, there are over 1000 cherry trees. Well, I haven't counted them, but that is what the city claims. There are a lot, anyway!
They've hit fairly early this year. I was reading in the paper this morning that this is the earliest they've bloomed in over 1000 years. The last time was around AD 980.
