today I want to talk about a spontaneous trip with a friend to a poppy field. Our plan was to get a few nice shots in the blue hour. We were not sure if we can get there before the rain, our marker on the rain radar was right on the edge and on the way (around 25 km) we saw really dark clouds approaching.
I mainly used my Sigma 18-35 f1.8, but often struggled to focus what I want and so four of my seven photos here were taken with the 70-200 f2.8. Later I realized that the Sigma lens had a really bad backfocus on my camera and needed calibration, but I atleast got a few sharp photos.

heute möchte ich von einem spontanen Trip mit einem Freund zu einem Mohnfeld erzählen. Unser Ziel war es ein paar schöne Fotos während der blauen Stunde zu schießen. We waren uns nicht sicher ob wir es schaffen vor dem Regen anzukommen, unsere Markierung auf dem Regenradar war sehr grenzwertig und auf dem Weg (ca. 25 km) sahen wir sehr dunkle Wolken näher kommen.
Ich habe hauptsächlich mein Sigma 18-35 f1.8 genutzt, hatte aber viele Probleme richtig zu fokussieren, weshalb vier der sieben Fotos hier mit dem 70-200 f2.8 aufgenommen wurden. Später habe ich herausgefunden, dass das Sigma Objektiv einen starken Backfokus auf meiner Kamera hatte und eine Kalibrierung brauchte, ich habe aber wenigstens ein paar scharfe Fotos bekommen.
Wir kamen vor dem Regen an und wenn wir zurück schauen von wo wir herkamen kann man sehr gut sehen, wie die dunklen Wolken die Welt verschlingen.
Wenn wir uns wieder umdrehen haben wir den Sonnenuntergang vor uns.
Das letzte Sonnenlicht kämpft darum durchzubrechen bevor es uns allein lässt.
We were really lucky with the weather, right back at the car we felt the first rain drops and five minutes later it started to pour like a waterfall.
Hiding between all the purple plants there also were a few beutiful red ones, but sadly I had not a single sharp image of one. Maybe next year!
Wir hatten viel Glück mit dem Wetter, gerade zurück am Auto haben wir die ersten Regentropfen gespürt und fünf Minuten später hat es geregnet wie aus Eimern.
Zwischen den lila Pflanzen haben sich auch ein paar wunderschöne Rote versteckt, aber leider habe ich von ihnen kein einziges scharfes Bild bekommen. Vielleicht nächstes Jahr!
