He hated every second of this
This is Dusty's first winter and he has never been around snow. He always stares out the window and looks at the dogs running around and sometimes he waits at the backdoor while they are outside and acts like he wants to go out. So I decided to take him outside and let him see what he was missing out on.
When his feet touched the snow, he had no clue what was going on and he hated the cold on his little paws.
I moved him to a spot that was a lot less deep with snow and he seemed like he was going to start exploring.
Instead, he just walked really slowly and meowed for me to come and pick him up and bring him inside.
So I went and picked him up and he latched onto me with a death grip. But we weren't done playing in the snow, so I plopped him down on a snow pile.
We were by the porch, so he crawled around trying to get close enough to jump up onto the porch and get out of the snow.
Once he realized that it was pretty deep, he just froze in place and whined for me to pick him up.
Needless to say, he was not a fan of the snow, so I snatched him up and brought him inside where it is nice and warm.
After I set him down inside, he ran back to the door and was just staring outside at the snow again. He was probably thinking about how much he hates the snow and hoping that he never has to go out there again. Or once he warms up, he is going to run back out there and try to play in the snow again. I think next time, I will have the dogs out there with him to show him how to play in the snow. Maybe he will like it better if he has some of his buddies outside with him.
Poor Dusty! I'm not so sure he'll ever truly enjoy it, even with his dog-buddies around. I had a good laugh seeing his "wth is this" expression. The photos are beautiful! Thank you for sharing.
Ya. I don't think he will ever like the snow. Maybe Keiichi or Rusty will like it better. We are supposed to get more snow tonight, so I may see how well they do out there tomorrow.
True! I also saw your drone pics of all the houses covered in snow. So beautiful! Hopefully, there haven't been too many accidents this year, with the roads covered in ice and snow. It looks beautiful, but I can't help to think about that other fact. Stay warm and cozy with your beautiful family!
Hahha he latched onto you with a death grip so you decided he should go back into the snow, the poor lad. Great photos by the way and he looks like really cool cat... too cool for snow
Awesome photography as always. Our lil' man didn't mind the snow at all. Went right out on the porch and sat down and even let it snow on him.
Great shoots. Little tigers :) It is funny to see that big cats' behavior but they are so small and cute. however, I don't underestimate cats, no matter the size. I got once some crazy cat fight and that was enough.
Our cat used to be exactly like this, but we didn't have litter box, so she had to go out, lol. It's so funny. Great shots!
Such a beautiful cat! Is he a lynx?
