Such a great hike
Yesterday, my wife, her sister and I went on a hike to the Fifth Water Hot Springs in Springville, Utah. The mountains are beautiful this time of year as the leaves are changing and beginning to fall. We had to leave our house pretty early in the morning because the trails can get very busy this time of year because everyone wants to see the fall colors.
As we were leaving the parking lot to begin the hike, we came across this van. These people are from Argentina and have been traveling all over the world exploring. They have been traveling since 2018 and over that time, I am sure they have made some really cool memories. I would love to take a few years and just travel the world with my wife. That would be so much fun.
The hike is pretty quick and easy. It is only a 2 mile trip out and 2 miles back. At the end of the two miles, there are some hot springs to relax in before making the hike back down. The trails continues up past the hot springs and is about 10 miles long, but that would have to be for another day. That would be a multi day hike that requires backpacking in camping gear and everything. It would be fun to eventually get to that point though.
One of the coolest parts of this hike is that you are near water the entire time and the sounds of nature are so cool.
The sun was just rising as we started the hike and the birds were beginning to wake up and throughout the entire hike, we listened to the birds chirping. There isn't much to say about the hike itself, so I am just going to post a bunch of the pictures I took while hiking.
The red leaves were my favorite. I also loved when there were a bunch of deep red leaves alongside a bunch of yellow ones. It was such a cool contrast of colors.
Look like there was a mudslide or avalanche that took out some of the trees here.
This bridge is pretty much the halfway point of the hike to the hot springs. The first part of the hike is pretty easy, but once you get past the bridge, it gets a little bit more challenging because you gain some elevation. It's about a 750 foot elevation gain throughout the hike up to the hot springs.
Nature is pretty cool.
As we got closer to the hot springs, we could really smell the sulfur. The sun was also beginning to peak over the mountain ridge and the sunrise started to make the leaves glow a really cool golden color.
It was so cool getting to the hot springs right as the sun was rising over the ridge. The steam of the hot springs was so cool looking in the morning light.
There were already a few people up there soaking in the hot springs when we showed up. The temperature when we started the hike was about 37 degrees fahrenheit, so it was a bit cold, but the hot springs were toasty warm.
We didn't bring swimsuits to soak our body in the hot springs and we didn't want to get super wet and then hike down and be freezing, so we just soaked our feet in the warm water for about 30 minutes before we headed back down the trail.
It felt so good on our feet and it was super relaxing.
We got there at the perfect time because once we got in one of the sections of the hot springs, it seems like a bus full of people showed up.
We started back down the trail and I found of few trinkets chillin on a rock. It was a pretty cool find.
On the way back down, we passed so many people and their dogs. I knew the parking was gonna be crazy when we got back down because there were so many people on the trail. On our way up, we only passed probably one or two people.
It was such a great hike. By the time we got home, we were ready for a nap though because our feet were pretty tired. I ended up getting a large blister on one of my toes because my shoes I was wearing are about a half size too small and my feet weren't too happy being crammed in there.
Overall, it was a beautiful hike and I couldn't think of a better way to spend the day. It is so much fun hiking and being with my best friend. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my post. You are awesome.
Wow, such a great variety of colors. We have mostly just yellow right now, near the area I live
Was the water perfect for a dip in? Not too cold/warm? Indeed looks like an enjoyable hike besides your feet lol.
The water was really nice. Some of the hot spring pools are pretty hot, but the area I was in was just perfect.
I loved reading about your hike to the Fifth Water Hot Springs in Springville, Utah! It sounds like you had a wonderful time, and the photos you took are beautiful, those autumn colors all over the trail are really beautiful
The hot springs look so delicious, and I can only imagine how relaxing it must have been to soak your feet in the warm water after a long hike.
Thanks man. It really was a great hike and the water was perfect.
outstanding i really love the Autumn colours...
The colors here in Utah are so cool looking up in the mountains.
This is such a cool place, and some of these photographs throughout the post are absolutely breathtaking man.
The way the energy is, you were meant to be there in that moment, and those trinkets confirm it.
The weird thing is that I put the trinkets in my pocket and I had them when we got in the car to drive home, but when we got home, they werent there anymore. I looked in my car really fast for them but couldnt find them. I will need to look closer, but they may have disappeared. Pretty weird.
What a lovely journey and cool photos! I hope leaves turn brown, red and yellow here soon. It's good to see you two so happy ❤️
I hope you get some good fall colors where you live as well. Do they normally change colors around this time of year or a bit later?
That looks like a very nice hike! Love the colorrichness of the leafes. In germany it's slowly starting - but seems Utah goes full autumn 😄
The shots with the people in the spring pools are awesome!
Thanks man. Hopefully you guys get some cool colors there in Germany. I would love to visit Germany during this time of year.
I will post some pictures when it starts in germany! :D
If you ever come around to Germany - let me know. I live in Cologne - so I can be your Guide.

That's cute
It was a lot of fun.
Looks like an awesome place for a hike. Totally love the autumn colours!
Thanks, we had a lot of fun on this hike and the colors were so cool.
That is very beautiful scenery! How hot would you guess those springs are?
Thanks man. Some of them get pretty hot depending where you are in the pool. They are about the same as a hot tub, but can get even hotter in some spots.
Your photos look great, man. You captured the colorful leaves of autumn perfectly. As always, the best times are the ones you spend with your partner.
Thanks homie. The colors here right now are so cool and I am glad that we were able to make some time to get out in nature for a hike.
Meeting fellow travelers from Argentina who have been exploring the world since 2018 sounds inspiring. The idea of traveling the world with your wife and making lasting memories is indeed enticing.
Thank you for sharing your hike and these wonderful photos. It's a reminder of the serenity and beauty that nature offers.
We didn't actually get to meet them. That would have been a lot of fun to talk to them and find out where they have been. It would just be so fun to travel around the world one day.

Algún día cuando caiga la dictadura en mi país..
Beautiful shots! I haven't been to that particular hot spring since I was a teenager! Fall is a beautiful time for hiking there. Was the charm you found made of silver? If it is even a better find!
Looked and literally felt like an extremely relaxing hike just from the photos alone! Did you end up taking the trinkets with you or did you leave it?
I really wanna know myself how it feels to see the season change. Especially fall, having all the bright green leaves turn orange and red blows my mind.
Since i live in the equator we only have permanent summer with varying levels of rain each quarter.
But UwU glad you enjoyed the hiking with epic scenery.
*Damn im slowly realizing how old you really are.
