As I prepare for the final weeks of flower, I am not going to be feeding the GDP any nutrients. This will allow the plant to soak up all the nutrients that are in the soil already and the water will clean the soil. One of the things that is really important in the final stages is to make sure that your soil does not become too acidic because that could start to stress the plant out and decrease its growth.
One thing I did add to the water today was some of my Doctor Zymes. I have some powdery mildew on part of pot that the plant is growing in. This is due to the soil being wet and that the plant is about three months old. I have been adjusting the amount of water that I give the plant to try and reduce the wetness of the lower part of the pot. Tomorrow, I will probably only give the plant 1 liter of water so that it will drink up most of the moisture in the soil. I normally give the plant between 3-5 liters a day. Lowering the water for a couple days while treating the mildew with the Doctor Zymes should help get rid of the mildew and excess moisture.
The buds are still forming very nicely. I am pretty excited about how well this plant has done. Photos do produce a lot more than the autos I have grown, but I do like the quick turnaround on the autos. I am going to be ordering some more photoperiod seeds so that I can get a nice supply of weed that won't run out very fast. One of the strains I am interesting in is Sour Diesel. I tried that strain a few years back and really liked it. There are some other famous strains that I want to try out that are more for medical use as well. I am planning on growing them one at a time in the big tent and having one autoperiod plant growing alongside so I can continue the quick turnaround and try new strains out while growing the majority of my stash as the higher end strains.
This flush week should help to keep all the levels of the soil where they need to be. I am planning on doing another flush during the last week of flower, which should be between 3-5 weeks from now. It will be interesting to try and dry this plant with my old methods. I am going to have to remove all of lights from inside the tent so that it can hang upside down without hitting anything. It will be nice to dry it in the large tent where I can keep the temperature and humidity regulated. I think this is going to be my best plant I have grown, not only because of the size, but also because of the amount of time I am going to be putting into making sure I get the drying and curing process done correctly. I am hoping for a 10-12 day dry time. The longest I have ever had a plant take to dry was 7 days, so hopefully I can extend this one out to 10-12 days. Slow drying is the best way to get all of the gases and chemicals out of your plants for the smoothest smoke.
It is hard to believe that we are almost done with the GDP grow. I have been waiting years to try this strain and it is getting closer and closer. I just hope that nothing goes wrong in these final weeks.

You're doing great, man. I didn't know you knew so much about weed. You really know everything in such detail that it could be the best weed in the world. It'll be exciting to try new strains. I hope you do well with them too.
Thanks man. I know a little bit about it. I've learned a lot from the people in the cannabis community here on hive.
Since your using living soil that mildew on soil may have been a good thing. But better to be safe then sorry, that plant is just so impressive dude! Can’t get over it.
<insert I’m not worthy gif>
The mildew isn't really in the soil, but on the outside of the fabric pot. There is some green mold that forms at the very bottom after the water in the overflow container and I just wipe that up with some alcohol. I’m not too worried about it affecting my plants at all. There is plenty of airflow with my fans on the buds and the humidity doesn’t get too crazy. I’ve got fresh air being pumped into the grow room all day and night.
Oh I see. 💪
these bugs eat and spread mildew
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psyllobora_vigintiduopunctata make sure they are not on the plant :)
My plants are indoors, so bugs isn't something I really need to worry about too much. I take care of any infestations before they get out of hand.
I admire people who are good at growing plants! I have been trying to grow various plants at home for many years. Last year I tried to make a small garden and grow vegetables in it, but I can't seem to get the hang of it. One of my favorite plants rotted because I overwatered it! It's impressive that you have such detailed knowledge and take care of them like a baby. I am sure you have a good heart 🙏. I am trying to improve myself because I dream of buying a house with a big garden and becoming a small farmer in the future 😊🤷
They look awesome.
I find watching others process of growing very informative.
I don't grow cannabis but I do grow veggies.

Thanks. Growing cannabis is a lot like growing veggies. If you can do that, you would be able to produce some nice cannabis plants.

I admire your dedication and Diligence to keep these plants. I'm sure it's worth it. All the knowledge and skill will not go to waste.
I wish you the best.
Thanks. It is a lot of fun growing these.
That's great
You are already an expert in growing this baby! I hope everything goes well with the drying. Now that I am living in Spain, maybe I will try some of this weed for the first time, here you smell it everywhere in the streets. 😬
Nice. If it's your first time, go slow. It can be overwhelming for a lot of people but if you find the right strain and use it responsibly it can help you in so many ways.
Very important to know that, I don't want it to be a bad experience! thanks! ;-)
Ya, take it slow. You can always take another puff later if you really arent feeling the effects, but if you do too much, you will be in for a wild ride that will only end with time.
Always love to see pictures of this beautiful plant on my feed.
Also I’ve always wondered, are eventually sold or strictly for personal use?
Thank you. Most of what I grow is for personal use, but I do give some to my good friends.
Never wanted to be a person's good friend so badly.. lucky.
Nice buds
