So much going on
It's hard to believe it has been over a month since my last post. So much has happened in that time and so much is going to be happening over the next few months. I may have announced the return of my photography contest a bit too early. I have so much going on that my contest has taken a back burner for a while.
My grandson is getting so big and has been learning so much. He is crawling around super fast, saying a few words and is learning more each day. Every day he wakes up, he has some new skill that he is ready to show off.
Our daughter is doing such a great job raising him. It's so cool seeing her be such a great mom. Being able to take part in this stage of hers and his life is such a gift and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
Yesterday, I took my camera out on a walk with me to capture some of the cool things that I see out on our walks.
Theo loves watching these blow in the wind while he is on his walk. He has been walking this trail with me since the day he was born and he loves being outside. I am excited for warmer weather because he always wants to go outside.
The lake looked so cool with the sun shining down on it. It's weird how differently the sun hits the lake during the winter versus the summer.
Groundhog's Day was not too long ago and according to the ground hog, we have another six weeks left of winter, but I don't think the trees got the memo. They are already starting to bud. Hopefully they don't open too early and we have a crazy snowstorm or get too cold.
There is a bush along my walk that is covered in these nasty thorns and it always reminds me of when I was a kid in Japan playing with my friends. We were playing in a jungle near my home and a snake popped up and scared me and I took off running. I wasn't paying very good attention where I was running and ran through a bunch of thorny vines that looked just like this.
The thorns ripped through the skin on both my arms and into my legs. It did not feel very good and I was picking thorns out of my flesh for a while. I thought the scars looked pretty cool when I was little but it hurt so bad. Whenever I walk past this bush, it reminds me of that day.
It is crazy how fast time has been flying by lately. I got a notification here on Hive that I have been here for 7 years already. It's been a wild ride so far and I can't wait to see where my crypto journey leads me.
My wife goes in for surgery in the morning and I am not sure how much time I will be able to dedicate to Hive, but in the meantime, I have been finalizing my photography contest and can't wait to get it back up and running.
A month is not a very long time. Welcome back. You are very lucky to see your grandson grow up. I can see from the photos that your daughter is a wonderful mother. 🙂
