I grew some oyster mushrooms in an all in one bag a few years ago and it worked perfectly. That sucks you poked yourself with the needle. I was so scared I was gonna do that. lol

That's good news. The mycelium in ours has started growing already. It's exciting to see.
How do you know if it's gotten contaminated? Is it when it's green or red, rather than white?
Pretty much any growth in there that isnt white during the first few weeks is contamination. After about 2 weeks, if you have a lot of white mycelium and you see some other color forming, there is a chance that the mycelium will actually kill the contaminated stuff.
