When we were in Atlanta, we stopped at some pretty historic sites. One of them was the Tomb of Martin Luther King, Jr.
It was really cool to see the memorial that was constructed for this man that made such a huge impact on the world. Near the memorial was the Ebenezer Baptist Church that played a big part in fighting against racism and the civil rights movement in general.
MLK was a reverend at this church, and it must have been pretty amazing to hear him speak there.

I am really excited about someday going to Georgia. It is a state that has so much Civil Rights history. I want to celebrate this great man and all the Freedom Riders who gave their lives for equality.
I do love the photos of the three ladies. You captured the joy and pride they are able to celebrate because of this great man.
Ya, it was a really sobering experience. There is so much that people take for granted nowadays that so many people suffered to get. I wish I had more time to see more of the state.
Definitely a piece of history! I was fortunate enough to attend high school right down the street from there so I've been plenty times. The house he used to live in is right by the King Center. Did you get a chance to stop by? !PIZZA
