So many cool cars
My son has been in the auto industry for a couple years now and he specializes in paint correction and paint protection. He is one of the top in the state of Utah at what he does and was recently hired on at one of the best shops here in the state.
His work hosts a local get together for the car community called Coffee and Cars, where all the people in the car community here are welcome to bring their cars in and show them off for everyone.
It is a good way for people in the area to network and get to see what others are doing with their cars. There were so many cars here, but this matte black Porsche was my favorite out of all the cars there.
This car was so awesome and the paint was super clean on it. Ever since my son got into working with the paint on cars, I have really started to notice people's paint and how well they take care of it. It also made me stop going to the automatic car washes because even though they are a convenient way to wash your car, they are horrible for your paint because they scratch the shit out of it.
The cars that they had in their showroom all had work done there at the shop and have a protectant on there that my son specializes in putting on cars. These people are spending upwards of $10k just on the protective coating that goes over their paint.
The technology behind this protectant is pretty cool as well. It is a self healing protectant that when scratched, it essentially melts to fill back in those gaps where the scratches were, ensuring that it always has a perfect coat without any scratches.
This McLaren was another car that I thought was cool. It isn't anything that I would really want to drive because it is very small.
The lines on this car are really cool though and I really like how all the reflections on the paint are.
I am going to have to finish editing the rest of my photos from the car show because there were so many cool cars, but these two were my favorites. There was a Lambo in the showroom that was cool, but I am not a huge fan of Lambos. I would rather have something that is more practical, like the Porsche, lol.
I have never really gotten into car photography, but I am hoping to learn how to make my car photos look better. It would be cool to go into my son's shop and get do some photos for them to help promote what they are doing. It is also a lot of fun seeing all these cool cars that my son is working on.
I hope that you liked these photos. I am hoping to do more of these types of posts in the future as I learn more about it. Thanks for stopping by, you are awesome.
Those are some badass shots of some badass rides! Glad you had fun.
Thanks man. It was pretty fun. I am going to see if I can get in good with them as a photographer for them.
Based on the shots in this post... i would think you might ought to get paid for such badass advertisement promo! These really were some super badass shots.
Ya, I wont be doing it for free. I am gonna get a sit down with the shop and see what they can offer. Their website is pretty lacking as well.
These cars are sexy! Great photos too. I’ve been playing a ton of Gran Turismo 7 & I swear the photo mode is the most impressive thing I’ve seen in a game. Satisfies my eager to drive like a mad man with fast cars too.
I mean just look how amazing some of my screenshots. I feel like as much as you like photography, you’d love “Scapes” so much. Basically you get 2000+ landscape photos from all over the world. You can place up to 3 of your own cars anywhere in the scene and the shadows and stuff automatically populate in a realistic way. It’s insane, I’m addicted to just snapping photos. Plus you can watch your replays and capture photos while driving too.
Man, that game looks gorgeous. I am not a fan of racing games though. Especially the ones that try and be super realistic with how the cars handle. I would rather play games like Burnout where I can crash into everything and cause mayhem.
I’m usually the same way, but this one just has me locked in and feeling like I’m having a track day each time I get on. It took some practice to get used to not sliding around corners like I’m used to though. I hope we get another Burnout game.
I hope we get a new one soon. I loved those games.
Daamn, pretty cool cars! :D
I work close to porsche and lamborhhini so I see them sll the time :p
Ya, we have a lot of them around where I live. People have way too much money to spend on something some idiot can crash into on the roads here. I don't trust people at all when they are driving.
Porsche is right around the corner from where I live. Every time one drives by I can't help but think how much it takes to fill it up. We have crossed the 9$ per gallon mark in Germany. Can you hear my racers heart cry lol?
Ya, I hate filling up my tank now. It's not $9 a gallon here, but everything is so spread out that you go through so much gas.
Yah I know. It adds up. Well tough times for all in a way. Just sucks after 2 years of suffering through corona financially. But it could be worse I guess. Yoshi...how is Yoshi...just so sth nice is in my head right now, Yoshi, always worth a thought. Have a good one 😉
Yoshi is doing awesome. I took him out and let him play for a while today. I think he had a good time. It is hard to tell what reptiles are thinking in their little heads.
Lol, they probably think what we think they don't think. I would go with that he had a good time ;).
The last one for me is the better, haas a good composition and love that car color, and the car obviously😅
Thanks homie
That Porsche...what a dream car.
Hi Wes! I hope you and your beautiful family are well. Long time no see!
These car photos are so good. I bet you'd do an awesome job at capturing the essence of impeccably-painted, sports cars for your son's shop to promote their work.
That McLaren is beautiful, but I'd definitely go with the Porsche instead. There's something about that matte black covering those sexy but subtle lines... It's the obvious pick for the cool people.
I love stuff like this but sometimes it just makes me a bit more jealous than I probably should be. I probably won't ever have enough money to own something like this outside of playing it in a video game. Honestly, even if I did have enough cash for one of these cars I would probably get something a lot more sensible like a Honda Accord. I'm just too frugal.
That being said I would love to go to one of these things also :)
Very beautiful cars and you took very amazing shots. Hope you had fun.
