Now that I have been back to Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, I have been back to the district called Puerto Madero. It is the youngest and possibly also the most modern of all the districts. This is where the skyscrapers seem to be gathered, but you will also still see the old cranes and warehouses from when the place was an active port. Along the harbor promenade, there are restaurants and bars side by side. The photos were taken on a stroll around the entire promenade to enjoy the view of Puente de la Mujer. This footbridge seems to have become one of the city's major attractions.
Puerto Madero's skyscrapers are housing offices and hotels, like the Hilton. Behind these buildings there are green areas that has been turned into parks. There is also an old sailing ship that houses a museum. I didn't go on board, so I don't know much about it.
The iconic Puente de la Mujer pedestrian bridge is popular. Noe matter what time of day, there were lots of people on the bridge. The name means "women's bridge". The bridge was opened in 2001 and was designed by a Spanish architect. I've been here several times and I still think it's just as amazing as the first time I was here four years ago. Our walk along the waterfront provided us with a view of the bridge from every angle. I have looked at it from different angles and tried to imagine in what way it resembles a woman / women. I think it looks more like a harp! According to the Lonely Planet guidebook, it is believed to resemble a couple dancing the tango.
The photos of the skyscrapers were taken on another night when we wanted to go to the waterfront to have dinner. Just as we reached the waterfront, it started raining. No more photos were taken that night. The last photo was taken the next day. Even we spent four days in Buenos Aires, we ended up here every day just to admire the bridge and its surroundings.

Thanks :) It is a beautiful city, that has so much to offer, when it comes to culture, colonial architecture, street art ( I have loads of photos...) and ofcause, it was really exciting to be here shortly after Argentina won the world cup. They were still celebrating :)
