"The less we preconceive, the less likely we are to be frustrated". I resonate with this a lot and have found that the more we try to force a moment to happen, the more quickly it slips through our fingers. It's a wonderful practice to just be present and embrace whatever that moment in nature provides us.

But I've also seen people extremely well with the opposite approach, where they plan out comps and go back over and over again until they nail it. But I don't know if I could deal with that amount of repetition haha.
I agree, I'm sure it's worth the end result when you finally get THE shot, but I'm a little too impatient for that most of the time lol!
