Hello,
Today, I would like to share with you some photographs we took from a lovely Island on the far west side of Turkiye. It took 5 hours to get to the ferry station, a 1-hour ferry ride and you're there on the island. So, for us, we needed to get up very early and try to catch the first ferry to enjoy the rest of the day.
So when we get to the island we directly start visiting places. There is a village called Zeytinlikoy, which has also a good breakfast. So we went there. Here is the Zeytinlikoy Church
I love these stairs and the entry door 😍
This is the lovely small place we had our breakfast. Also, there is gum-flavored Turkish coffee there!
This is a dishwashing corner where you bring your kitchenware and wash them with your neighbors, nice idea!
Zeytinli's name means "with olives" so everywhere there are olive trees around. Those little alleys are marvelous!
There are wonderful places to eat around, Kemancı is one of them. They have wonderful wines and delicious Turkish-Greek food.
Another beautiful alley.
There are ruins of beautiful houses with gorgeous views of the Aegean Sea!
I love the landscape of the island Very calming.
This is a photograph from the ruins of an olive oil production facility.
And this is another lovely church from DemirciKoy.
And yet another church with a tiny sweet bell tower 😇
And those wonderful beaches of the Island.
Just look at the landscape and the colors!
And our trip ends after 2 days. We had so many good memories there. We'll definitely come back later again.
See you later.
Thank you for this beautiful journey!

Thank you!
Oh! I am so glad you had such a pleasant getaway! And thank you so much for sharing it with all of us, that island is so, so beautiful!
And I can't even imagine what that tastes like! I so, so have to wander over to your part of the world and explore its awesomeness one day! So happy you had such a wonderful journey!

😊 It was a breeze. Because it's a Mediterranean spot, there are lots of different things to taste. Even I don't know some of them. You won't regret it if you visit 🙂 !CTP
Nice photos. Just back from Anatalya myself.
Thank you so much
Antalya is also great in the spring and fall, but a little bit too hot for me in the summer. I'll post some photos from the inner old city of Antalya later !CTP
That would be cool.
The weather was perfect in April, not too hot and warm enough for t-shirts and sunbathing still.
Beautiful shots! I have always thought it would be cool to visit Turkey, but I feel like there area lot of places these days that aren't safe to travel to. Especially as an American. It seems like everyone hates us for whatever reason. The photos you took are beautiful. I found your post on Listnerds and I am really happy I did now.
Thanks a lot. I assure you that most holiday spots in Turkey are safe, we love tourists 😄 And it's really a bargain now to visit here. Still, you might have problems at some places, since I wouldn't go to those places either 😅 That goes for any country in the world, am I right? !CTP
Yes, it is likely true. Probably part of the reason I have never been out of the US besides Canada. That doesn't really count though. They are basically part of us just nicer :)
Hi @draconiac! Beautiful photos. I agree landscape of the island is calming and lovely. Zeytinlikoy is a beautiful place to visit and I love how blue the sky is.
I hope you had a wonderful time there. 🙂
Thank you so much 🙂 There are lots of different villages like that. The island is a little bit windy so be prepared if you'll visit. !CTP
Windy? My country is a bit hot right now, so I would not mind some wind. 😄
Thanks for the tip.

Thanks for including the map without it I would have had no idea where the island was. It looks like a great place to tour and you had a beautiful day. Thanks for sharing.
You're welcome. I especially have a hard time only on the road, because it's long and very early so I wanted to show the path :). But still, you forget your all pain on the island. !CTP
