the top 3 were not so hard to choose but ranking them between each other was not easy. i went back and forth with different results but ended up with this

1. artvik unique perspectiv
2. kohsamui99 for 2nd photo great afterglow
3. jesuspsoto for 2nd photo and text

i read the rules carefully and have interpreted them such that i focused primarily on what i considered the single best photo in any given post and secondarily on the post as a whole including text. the rules as written open for different interpretations which may well give different results.

thanks for the opportunity to experience the contest from the judge's perspective.
