Most likely I'm telling this each time I'm writing about an exhibition, but this one was really interesting. It was called Transitional Contrasts and let's see if you understand what the artist meant by his paintings.
First impression counts a lot and this was what I saw when I stepped into the gallery. A number of colorful abstract paintings. Abstract is a bit harder to read for me, not that I'm an expert in the rest.
When I saw this painting, I knew I'm not going to have an easy job. This one is called Traces. Well, there are traces of paintbrush on the canvas for sure.
Tornado
How would you illustrate a tornado on canvas, in abstract style? Is this one of the version you could do? Definitely yes. A tornado is not a nice thing, but can be really colorful, especially if you look at what's usually left behind.
Three Little Birds - B. Marley
I looked at the painting and could not see one single bird, let alone three. Then something looked suspicious. What does B. Marley mean/ Does it man what I think it means? When I came home, ran a search and got the confirmation that I was right. Here's the video.
Bob Marley has a song called Three Little Birds. I know Bob Marley, but only the most famous songs from him, I had no idea he had this song. Now, back to the painting. Do you see the song in the painting?
Under Water
I've never been snorkeling, but have seen countless videos of underwater life and was trying to decide if this is how underwater life looks like. Well, it could be. Although I'm not a huge fan of
Also, I think it was here when I realized the smell of paint. I've never sensed paint in any gallery till now. When I looked at the labels, most of the paintings were painted in 2023, so that's why the smell. Old paint doesn't have a smell.
Blue World
Most likely this is my world, even though you hear me saying I love orange all the time, but I wear a lot of blue. Confusing, isn't it? Well, there's an explanation for that, but this is not the place, nor the time to discuss that.
The Three Musketeers
Over the years I've seen huge paintings in major European galleries, but not in my city. This canvas was not huge, but wide. I don't know exactly how wide it was but must have been around 2m or even wider. Now, can you see why the painting is called The Three Musketeers?
Life on Mars? - D. Bowie
Here i knew exactly what this is about, but could not recall the song. However, YouTube is my friend as well, not just Google, so here it is.
How is life on Mars? Dunno, don't ask me as I haven't been there yet. Wen I go, I'll tell you.
Red Lights 1
Red Lights 2
Not to be confused with the Red Light District please.
Orange 1
Orange 2
Orange 3
This is a series of 3 paintings, pretty much each containing the same colors, but yet they have a different pattern. I tried to decide, which one I would choose and most likely I would go with the second one. What about you?
Abstract Landscape
Even though landscapes are hardly ever abstract, I liked this. Maybe if the ground would be less regular, would be even more fun.
Almost Sphinx
Green Rain
I love green, but my only problem with this was that rain is usually coming from above. Exception when the wind is so strong that outperforms gravitation and blows the raindrops in every direction. However, horizontal rain is not rally real.

Abstract art with explosiveness of color to create sensations... bordering on Fauvism, perhaps? Either way, I enjoyed this exhibition. Thanks @erikah
:)
I'm glad to hear that, I enjoyed it as well and I'm glad I'm not the only one 😀
Morning greetings @erikah, you really have to have or develop that artistic eye, which I haven't hahaha, and to say that my father was a painter, but genetics didn't reward me.
I am struck by those pictures or paintings that I do not understand, why I find them fun and interesting, since they make me think beyond whether they are beautiful or not.
Hello @emileli. I don't think it's a question of developing that artistic eye. I think you either like art, or you don't. Obviously people change over the years and maybe grow closer to art.
Lol, you know how it is. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder they say. So some paintings are beautiful others rather ugly, depends on the taste of the viewer. But it's definitely a fun game to try to understand what the artist meant 😂
Hello dear friend @erikah good day
Beautiful and colorful exhibition
Here in my city there are not many possibilities to see an art exhibition, if I want to see something like this, I must travel to the capital of the country, besides, I have no idea about them, I only feel attracted by the combination of colors, and the simulations that the artist achieves with his brushstrokes
I have listened to B. Marley but only his best known songs, I had no idea of this
I appreciate that you have shared these beautiful works
Hi @jlufer. I'm sorry to hear you have no possibility of visiting art exhibitions on your location. I'm fortunate this was as I have plenty occasions and they change all the time. Not to mention that most of them are free as well. I'm lucky.
Very cool paintings! Lots of talent of display there! Three Little Birds is a great tune, one of my favorites from Bob Marley.
And I had the occasion to listen to the song now, thanks to this exhibition :)
Very cool exhibition, I haven't taken time out to go to one in a very long time unfortunately.

Thank you!
My previous @v4vapp proposal has expired. I have a new one which is running but unfunded right now. I'm still running @v4vapp and all my other services.
I've just updated v4v.app and I'm getting ready for some exciting new features after the next hard fork.
Please consider asking your friends to vote for prop #265 or consider unvoting the return vote.
For understandable reasons in the current crypto climate it is harder to get funded by the DHF, I accept this so I'm asking a wider audience for help again. I will also redraft this proposal with more details (coming soon). I'm also looking for other funding sources.
Additionally you can also help with a vote for Brianoflondon's Witness using KeyChain or HiveSigner
If you have used v4v.app I'd really like to hear your feedback, and if you haven't I'd be happy to hear why or whether there are other things you want it to do.
