The Cuban writer and playwright Virgilio Piñera wrote a short story titled 'A flash' ('Un fogonazo').
It is about a man fed up with his routine and the mediocrity of his life who receives an invitation to a kind of cabaret.
He have to enter naked, a condition that almost made him back out because he thought it was just another nudist or pornographic cabaret.
Inside he received a luminous discharge of such intensity that it marked his memory.
This afternoon sun that appears in my photo passing through the bars of my bedroom has warmed my soul a little, offering me light and warmth on these gray and rainy days. It was my flash today.

El escritor y dramaturgo cubano Virgilio Piñera escribió un cuento corto titulado 'Un fogonazo'. Trata de un hombre hastiado de su rutina y la mediocridad de su vida que recibe una invitación a una suerte de cabaret.
Hay que entrar desnudo, condición que casi le hace echarse atrás pues pensó que se trataba de otro simple cabaret nudista o pornográfico.
Adentro recibió una descarga luminosa de tal intensidad que marcó su memoria.
Este sol vespertino que aparece en mi foto atravesando los barrotes de mi dormitorio me ha calentado un poco el alma ofreciéndome luz y calor en estos días grises y lluviosos. Fue mi fogonazo de hoy.
