That is the main plan yes, hahah. We have our hearts set on the Cape. We will most probably be there in September (if we can save enough money and flights are not too expensive). And probably in December/January again.
Exactly. Life is. We just need to accept that fact and live and give our best in every situation. Always so many lessons, we should just learn from them. Not the easiest, especially when you are down below, but surely worth every tear and sweat drop!
I like the new "we" mention here and no longer only the "I". It certainly sounds good. I thought that you were lecturing at the Stellies university and couldn't figure out how you could get to stay up there for so long. Then the penny dropped and I realized that it is female power !LOL
So true and the saying is to pick up your cross and to bear it.
She also mentions that, that my way of referencing changed from I to we.
Oh yes, I only lectured one module in first semester. The second semester modules did not contain any of mine so I am on a little leave until they ask me to lecture again. In the mean time I need to produce that PhD text!
I am sure that she is happy with the "we" !LOLZ
Good to know that you are on a break and I sense that there would be some interference with the PhD text. Maybe a little thing called love :)
Have to make sacrifices in life, right! But this one I will gladly make. However, she is pushing me to finish the text so she is on my side as well! A lot of things are happening now. Just received two promising emails, one of my abstracts got accepted, so another seminar but this one is luckily in Stellenbosch and one of the “big heads” emailed me regarding my work; he might want to collaborate.
Glad to see that I summed it up correctly, as I knew that she would support you.
Great to see the result and it sounds very promising. Maybe the bright lights will start to appear.

Thank you so much! Now its just a balancing act of saying yes to some things and no to others. I always have the problem of trying to do too much at once.
How are things on that side? Health and weather-wise and all the rest?
Take care to discern the road ahead very carefully and instead of overloading yourself, rather consider the long-term benefits that any decision would hold.
Still a mess here and I will do a post about it still this week.
