Around the lake

Today I want to take you for a ride around the lake Trichonida, the biggest natural lake of Greece and one of my favorite ones!
The lake itself gives plenty of shooting opportunities and I have shared in the past many pictures of this particular one. You can spent the whole day enjoying the calming scenery and taking pictures, but there is more to it!
Driving around the lake there are many monasteries and small villages that worth a visit and some photographic attention too :)

Petrochori is one of them, with the most beautiful stone built school I have ever seen.

The monastery of Agia Paraskevi hides a surprise inside, that I am not going to tell you about :)

Thermo is the largest village of the area (almost a small town) combining the thriving nature with the basic city amenities!

Mirtias monastery is another very old and very interesting construction, especially when it is lit by the warm evening light!

Greece has some very lovely spots indeed!Thank you very much @goldenoakfarm :)

Stefanos, yay you are still at it day 16. I think you are going to make it! Lovely pictures I especially like the monastery with the warm setting sun hitting it. Oh that lady fountain was cool too.

Thank you very much Sara!
Today I almost didn't make it but after all I managed to post something, but each day is a small struggle (and a small win, so far).
I appreciate the support :)

These pics look like postcards. I like the stillness of the water.

Lakes have something magic on their own!

I love Greece. The mountains and waters create a feeling like nowhere else does. And the stone buildings add an air of permenency.

I am excited to get back there in the next year, or two. So much beauty and history to explore...

Thanks for sharing!

Cheers!

I am glad to here it @braveboat and I hope you'll be here soon and have an amazing time :)
