Kalavryta is one of those small mountainous towns that combine harmoniously the amazing nature with the human constructions. As most places in Greece it has a long and in many occasions "dark" history, but today let's focus on beauty!
Either it is a train station, a fortified residence or a humble house, I am sucker a for stone built structures. It is not only that I like looking at them, I feel a comforting, reassuring feeling when I am inside. I guess that's why I have chosen a 19th century house to live in :)
I have a soft spot for rivers and the thriving nature around them. It just makes me happy walking (and taking pictures) in a scenery like that!
And in this occasion I have even found an old watermill that is still operational!
And as always dusk has its own charm!

The place looks 'left off' but I love the view. This type of place always attracts me. I would love to take a walk there.
Partly true, but I have to admit that I often get carried away by the decaying grace of the old, so my view might not be very objective. I am sure you would love your walk around there, though :)
