One dog, five cats and a lot of fishes

The beach is a five minutes walk from the place we stay but this time @traisto and myself decided to take the long way, combining the dog walk with our morning swim. So instead of five minutes, we did almost an hour but we saw so many things in between :)

The beginning of our walk, was from the park which is just outside of our doorstep. The morning light was brilliant as it was passing through the plants but some vicious beasts were hiding in the lush grass!

Or not, maybe it's just a cat staring at the dog :)

After the park, it is the old town. When we saw the first quaint colourful houses we turned towards the sea, passed the school and reached the seafront neighbourhoods. And there it was. The second beast, sorry cat, staring at us, as we were passing through her territory!

Nafplio (the old part of it) is built on a small peninsula so you can constantly walk on the seaside as you are going around the town. And when I had enough of the old houses, I turned my lens to the sea.

Plenty to see here too!

The day was wonderful, the sea totally calm and the fishes were on the surface, eating whatever they think it is a delicacy suitable for their taste!

On a day like that I wouldn't mind sailing a bit, although I am not very fond of not having solid ground under my feet :)

The small island-fortress is the landmark that indicates the end of the port. From here we continued on a small pedestrian road, crammed between the sea and the rocky hillside. No fancy pavement here but since it is a bit secluded route, there are some graffiti and guess what else.

Cats, lots of cats!

They almost bullied the pure dog but fortunately he is raised among cats so he knows not to provoke them, for his own wellbeing :)

The last part of our walk has a lot of prickly pears, literally hanging from the rocks and many trees. And of course the sea on our side!

We are now only a few meters away from the beach and our morning swim :)

I kept a flower picture for the end of the post.
#alwaysaflower is a lovely habit, initiated by @dswigle and I follow it myself some times :)

LEO Power Up Day - September 15, 2023

Cats are so hilarious with their faces when someone gets on their territory. I get a bit of that silent judge from my cat too whenever friends are coming over haha

Haha yes, they may be small but they have the look of a tiger :)

Fun fact, they actually share a bit over 98% of a tiger's genes and behaviour :)

I think the cats were following you, because some of them seem to be the same... I love where you live, it's beautiful!

It is beautiful indeed :)
Thank you for stopping by!
