Photo tour in the monastery

Toplou apart from a beautiful medieval monastery, is a very rich entity, owning a huge area of land at the east side of Crete and an organic olive oil extraction factory, which is the reason I was there! The factory is a few meters away from the monastery so while I was waiting for my olives to become olive oil I went for a small photo tour.

I started from the wind mill at the courtyard, to the subsidiary buildings and to the first and second quad until I reach the church and the sleeping quarters around it. I always feel relaxed when I am surrounded by stone walls but the peacefulness of this place is truly incomparable!

Maybe the flowers that are all over the place in every kind and size of pots help too, but I'll save the pictures of the monastery's flora for another post :)

Wow I had the same thoughts as @derangedvisions. I really enjoy the way you see and photograph the world around you. I kept thinking, man I want to go there some day and I want to meet Stefanos and Fotini!
