The first thing to see, as I stepped out of the house, was this funny face, looking at me with an intense and profoundly inquiring way. I laughed a bit, I took a few shots of this furry little creature with the amazing whiskers and started my walk!
This is going to be a good one , I said to myself and started exploring, for one more time, the village that I knew so well but was always giving me opportunities for more pictures!
This is the one of the two villages that I spend my life the last nine years, at the northeast side of Crete, the biggest Greek island. I moved from that village in March but I still have friends there and soon I'll be visiting them and see what has changed the last months that I am not there!
I am afraid that the spring, in the middle of the village, will be dry. The last two winters were very arid and when I left the running water was very little. I wish that a miracle has happened in the meanwhile and the spring is again providing fresh water to the village but the chances are against it. I could have asked my friends about it but I prefer not to hear the bad news over the phone.
Other than that I don't expect to see much changes. After all this is the kind of place that time goes by so slowly that you can hardly notice it :)
The first picture of the post is my contribution to the Photo Quest with the theme Whiskers, hosted by the @qurator. You can find all about it, here.

Love your pics! what cam do u use? Btw, it's beautiful the town where you lived for 9 years, it seems to be very quiet with very nice people who care about keeping everything nice.
Thanks a lot :)
Yes, it is a beautiful and quiet place!
The camera is a canon EOS850D, a cropped sensor model but pretty descent. I have a full-frame too but some times I get lazy and take the small and lighter one with me :)
So timeless... Great pics as usual 👌.
Thanks a lot, I am glad you like them :)
Great shots man. Love the cat ones
Thank you very much! I know that cats are your soft spot :)
Did I spot on one photo the buds of loquat tree flowers? ;))
Wow, as always, eye pleasing photography 🙌
Thank you very much :)
Yes, those are loquat buds that you spotted! The pictures are from last winter!
Already at our place, a few days ago:
Speaking of Whiskers, here in my local shire cats have been banned outdoors. They can only be indoors. They are so destructive to native wildlife here!
Lovely photos.
Thanks a lot :)
Banned cats! It sounds so strange to me!
All the pictures I show are quite good and there are very beautiful flowers there.
Thank you for stopping by @mnurhiver :)
good together friends @fotostef
With these pictures I'm going to live there, even without water. hahahaha
By the way, how is the life in this place?
It is beautiful indeed!
It is in between of living in a homestead or an eco-community and in a small town. It is neither of those but for some people may work well.
Wonderful. I love it. 😍
What a beautiful place that makes me instantly think of holidays 😊 Lovely place to spend some time. It's a pity that you don't live there anymore, but I'm actually sure that now you're in even more beautiful place 😊
I'm scared of cats, but I love looking at their photos - as long as they are not next to me 😂 Those whiskers are cool!
Thank you very much!
I am not complaining, the new place is totally different but also very beautiful!
Amazing photography my friend!
