The bigly rock

As the bay starts to appear from behind the hill, we have a ways to go still.

The weather is strange today - it's warm and sunny and at the same time, it also isn't. I guess one has to feel it to know it.

As the path dwindes down the hill, I crouch to take a photo and scratch myself on these thorny bushes. Who's cutting bushes here this far?

The path heads on into the forest and follows the beachline, sometimes heading a bit deeper inland and then circling back again towards the bay.

There's this weird rock in the ground, but I recall having seen them all around on our explorations.

I think the cross points into the main 4 cardinal directions - north, south, east and west. What if someone were to mess with the rock? I guess it's here just for the cool factor. I love it.

We come to a nice bench, where one could rest his weary feet and have sip from the thermos. Perhaps this is where the locals come to enjoy the sunset. I should go back and check the compass rock, wasn't it that the sun sets west? I think we're good here :)

There are these benches all over the beachline, if one keeps his eyes open.

I almost pick up this piece of wood from the forest. I sometimes like to make things of wood, tinkering in my garage, but this piece turns out to be too dry on a closer inspection. It would just turn to dust soon.

The bigly rock!

This boulder even has a name and is marked on Google maps as Tõllupea kivi, look it up and come here on a hike, it's beautiful.

The sign beside the boulder tells you to take the trash that you brought, back out of the forest with you. Unfortunately, some people don't care about nature and destroy beautiful spots with leaving garbage behind.

This is also the end of our short hike today. We hang out a bit at the sea, I also try to touch the water without getting my feet wet. The water is cold, but no swimming session for me here.

I once went to swim here last year, but I had to walk like a hundred meters to get into deep enough water that was up to my hips.

There is mild algae in the shallow water, it dissipater deeper.
