Haha, well yeah I guess most were. I'm not saying a tossed hand grenade can't be picked up and tossed back (or away) but with a four second fuse...Hmm, one would want to be fast.
As someone who has been a shooter and done other things around that and firearms, I'm the worst person to watch a movie with guns in it with. I pick on their grip, their style, the way they only seem to have three rounds in there (to create drama in the movie I guess) or they have thirty seven thousand rounds in a firearm I know only carries seventeen or whatever...I think I enjoy picking on them more than the movies themselves. Shooting an AK-47 sideways and not aiming...never going to work well unless missing is the aim of the game.
I don't know what commando magazines you read but they might have been legit...or not.
At least light sabres are more realistic.
These are the pictorial mags we read and swapped and read again. I didn't realise they could still be purchased!
I don't think I will bother, I have moved on to "other" periodicals these days

Oh yeah, now light sabres are totally legit...and I want one.
I remember watching a TV show as a little kid in the mid-70's called The Rat Patrol (1966-1968). Man I loved that show...I thought their jeep was the coolest thing I'd ever seen. Now, they were the type of blokes who'd pick up grenades and hurl them back.
I remember those mads you showed too, although never read any of them. But...now I want to watch The Rat Patrol.
enjoy!! I bet you can find it on you tube lol,
