Are you talking about the Rolex? 🤔

I just got this rare pre-owned Seiko 5 from Japan, an advance birthday gift to myself. It's one fineee piece. Even though I have better and more "pricey" watches in my little collection, this little Seiko is slowly becoming one of my favorites.

Nice Seiko...great watches really, I have had a few and feel they're as good as any other and better than most. ✅

Yeah, my Rolex is my favourite more for the meaning of it, than from an actual watch perspective. The watch I wear the most is my Casio Mudmaster though, I wear that every day.

I like Seiko, especially the Seiko 5 lineup. I don't know how they managed to make such beautiful mechanical watches and then sell them for a price of $100 to $200. That's bonkers, I'd say.

It's more like a statement piece, right? Most of us buy such watches to mark a moment or point of accomplishment, by getting something that exhibits a feeling of success.

My Casio Enticer is my daily. Along with a vintage Casio, the little digital ones. Nothing beats a Casio when it comes to daily watches.

I don't buy special watches every day if the week, each I have marks a significant moment and that's where the meaning comes into it I guess. The cost if it doesn't make it special. I think you understand well.

I think you understand well.

Without a doubt! I do understand.

I kinda felt the same way when I got my Tissot PRX a few months ago; after securing a new gig. These watches are like little gifts to myself, after I've worked hard for something; which in my eyes deserves a little reward.
